I avoided using TireRack in the past for fear of surprise brokerage charges, especially since they use UPS. Worried about the hassle of paying the taxes and duty and delivery as they got stuck in some warehouse on the border for weeks.
But my set of Bridgestone RE 050A Pole Position tires arrived at my office in Halifax NS less than 3 days after I ordered them.
All-in cost Cdn $892.16 for 235/45-17.

They recently adjusted and work with UPS to complete all payments before shipping. As a result shipping quotes are much higher but it wraps up all the duty/fees so there is no extra bill when the product hits your door.

Well, there's some pain knowing UPS is making a couple bucks off of you, but it's not like the old UPS rapeage days.
Still doesn't beat FedEx Ground. I think they have yet to charge me a brokerage fee or any taxes/duties on US parts.
