You were right...
thye don't fit the B7 A4. Parts never bothered to check and Audi never bothered to tell us.
They are looking at putting a spacer to separate the wheel from the caliper.

If anyone is interested, I have a set of pristine shape 16x7 Audi Swing wheels with brand new Hankook Icebear W604 215/55R snow tires just mounted and balanced.
