Rusting won't happen as the mesh will be aluminum, and then it will be sprayed with rubberized coating which further protects and adds thickness to the mesh. I'm gonna go source out the mesh this weekend and see how close it resembles the oem one.

I've wanted to do this mod for a while, but just never had the time. Doesn't look too complicated, I've been itching to do some dremmeling for a while.

In the end if it does look like poo, it would have cost me less than half of one oem mesh and I can just toss it. When I'm done, you can come inspect and then let me know what you think. I'd like to compare with how it looks on your car too.
