castrol syntec or mobil 1???

which do you prefer? which do you recommend for a new engine with all fresh seals and gaskets?

I have been using both over the years and I am now back to Mobil in the A4, both are very good.

BTW, according to Audi the oil that comes from the factory for the break in period is of a .....

Synthetic blend.

I also read something about that. For my A4 1.8t, I used dino during its first year,..

and switched to Mobil 1 5w30 after that.

Something about syntheic being too thin and slippery to properly break in the engine.

with synthetic oil???
