Is this mod illegal here? I heard that we must have amber turn signals and that we could get a ticket for having clear corners. What have other people done to avoid this?

Its illegal to not have the orange in the corner. Now if you keep the amber bulb you are fine, or spray your bulbs with a light coat of silver so when they are on they blink amber but otherwise look silver, or just buy the silvervision bulbs that are silver but blink amber. If you keep a bulb that shows amber you will be fine.

DO NOT DRILL THEM!!!!
Use a soldering iron to melt your way into the housing then get a sharp flat head and go to work breaking the clip and freeing the amber plastic. Then get needle nose plyers (2 preferred) and break it up into smaller pieces.
The reason I say don't drill is so that you don't get a million little tiny pieces of plastic inside your housings that can't be removed. Melting is really clean and can be sealed up easy afterwards.
Good luck!

Somebody else mentioned not to drill it as well because of the tiny peices. Is this an easy and clean modification? What are the things to becareful about (besides scratching the lens).
