Default Coilovers shock firmness adjustment...

This is regarding coilovers that have rebound dampening adjustment (shock firmness). What's the usual setting? Meaning, should the front be firmer than the rear or/and vise versa? Or should all four corners have the same settings?

Thanks...

Default Front always firmer than the rear...

I'm running Koni and the real is set to 40% while the front from 60-70%. Ride is great, not too firm, not to soft.

Default I thought it would depend upon the spring rates

If the front spring rates are higher than the rear (usually the case) then the damping should be also.

For example though, the Stasis Tracksport uses higher spring rates in the rear so I assume the damper rates are higher for the rear as well.

Basically, the damper rates are selected to suit the spring rates and the desired ride comfort/handling trade off. Audi's push so aftermarket spring/damper units usually stiffen up the rear quite a bit to reduce understeer. Audi doesn't do this at the factory primarily because the ride goes all to heck. You can't generally have a balanced Audi that also rides well, depending on what you think a good ride is. The Stasis set up hops around unmercifully at the rear, but the handling is pretty sweet.
