Default Comparison with Tirerack and 1010 tire

Following up on my last post of my Tirerack order, and Bruno's post about 1010tire offering free shipping on Cdn orders for winter tires, I did a quick cost comparison for 4 Blizzak WS-60 winter tires for my Passat.

So, do I save $30 or do I spend $30 extra and buy from a Canadian supplier? WWAWC do?

Note: GST/PST numbers for the Tirerack order were provided by Tirerack.

Default There was no hassle with Tirerack, though. It may have taken a couple of days

longer, but, especially in this case, speed of delivery isn't an issue....(unless Mother Nature turns into a crack ***** overnight)

Default nope

The greatest thing about internet shopping is buying out of province. If you buy from USA customs and the brokers take the 13%. However if buying from outside of Ontario, and within Canada..meaning no custums or brokers, then you save the ON sales tax.

This works out sweet for computer stuff, at ncix.
or tires at any of the bc spots. I bought my 16" winters last year from BC and saved a ton.
So far I have bought about 10 items over the net, and never paid the ont tax. BC and Que have the most wicked deals I find.
