Here is what Consumer Reports said last month...
They rated winter tires, check out the library (really) they will have a copy, you can't check it online.
Here are the H-rated tires:
1. Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grips GW-2
2. Dunlop SP Winter Snowsport M2
I can't remember what number 3 was, but the first two were neck and neck.

Have you heard of these???
Apparently the tires that were on my A4 were Sava Rapidex R2'S.... thats wut it said on the tire...
When i drove the car, handling was pretty good, but i know nuthin about these tires, and i dont know if they come on audis LOL

Goodyear owns Sava... but I didnt think we even had them in Canada.
...They are slovanian and no, the didn't come on Audis. The previous owner musta put on some cheap *** tires before they sold the car.

Lou @ nantucket tires said $148/tire... but that theyre out of stock
wayne @ tireworks $155/tire balanced and installed and that he could get em...
not sure if its tax in... i could get them off the net if i dont find any here, but thatll be a bit more $$ and will still need to install them...
should i go for these, or will any winter tire do the job? i want to be safe, and have good performance if its dry out... the occasional winter drifting is a must tho =)
