Default Here is what Consumer Reports said last month...

They rated winter tires, check out the library (really) they will have a copy, you can't check it online.

Here are the H-rated tires:
1. Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grips GW-2
2. Dunlop SP Winter Snowsport M2
I can't remember what number 3 was, but the first two were neck and neck.

Default I had a 2000 328ci so it was the last year that 16" steels would clear the brakes

I got the steels from tire rack in the US and the tires in Canada

You've learned the cardinal rule : All season tire = No season tire.

Default Goodyear owns Sava... but I didnt think we even had them in Canada.

...They are slovanian and no, the didn't come on Audis. The previous owner musta put on some cheap *** tires before they sold the car.

Default got a couple a quotes

story on the m2's...

Lou @ nantucket tires said $148/tire... but that theyre out of stock

wayne @ tireworks $155/tire balanced and installed and that he could get em...

not sure if its tax in... i could get them off the net if i dont find any here, but thatll be a bit more $$ and will still need to install them...

should i go for these, or will any winter tire do the job? i want to be safe, and have good performance if its dry out... the occasional winter drifting is a must tho =)
