Default Engine codes...

I've posted this a while ago regarding my check engine light, but didn't have the exact codes on hand...well, for those that don't know the issue, here it is which I copied from my post a while ago.

"I have a 97 1.8T with only a GIAC chip. Engine light is on. Got it checked at a shop and got 2 codes. One regarding running lean and the other is an ECU fault code. What also happens is when I step on the throttle, I feel a hesitation, then all of a sudden it'll kick in and the car would go, but a puff of black smoke would come out the tail pipe. Would all this be caused by the GIAC chip? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks."

At that time, I had 2 codes (ECU fault code and one of the system too lean codes), this time I have 8. Here are the codes I got today:
18020 - ECU fault code
16684 - random misfire
16687 - cylinder 3 misfire
17544 - system too lean
17536 - system too lean
16685 - cylinder 1 misfire
16688 - cylinder 4 misfire
16686 - cylinder 2 misfire

Check for vacuum leaks and check your MAF. Also, the performance forum is a good place to search.
