Friends, fellows, countrymen, Audi nuts...help me stop considering mortgaging my
childrens' future and get "STAGE 3" out of my head.
Thanks to Phoenix80...bastard...I keep on running numbers, figuring out how to do it. I keep on justifying cost by thinking that if I trade in my car and add the cost of Stage 3, I'll probably end up with an nice Altima.
450HP is so enticing. Surprising the odd Porsche or Vette is very enticing. (Although, if you can believe this, I've NEVER lined up another vehicle or even "played" on highways or roads...not living in Woodbridge or Markham makes it easier to avoid temptation).
AWC...I need help from this addiction.

do it! do it! do it!
You can attempt to justify it with numbers but consider that kids today need the character building challenges of securing gainful employment to pay for their own higher education. lol.

I was in your shoes and have let go of the urge and live vicariously through others now....
In the "real world" with families, responsibilities and priorities, going stage 3 is something that must be done only if you have disposable cash that really won't be missed (and a VERY tolerable wife).
I know some people are going to disagree with me but in the end that is the truth.
I am not against modding of course but I just can't justify $8-$10k on top of a 6-7 year old car that will one day be sold for a hell of a lot less than what we think it's worth.
If I was single or rich.... different story.

Only do it if your K03's go. Until then you can still do suspension, downpipes/piggies, etc.
Then again you may run out on next week to get a loan after I give you a ride on Saturday. ;-)
Roman is going to need Stage 11 now too

That's what the "rational" little man on my shoulder is saying...
2 kids, thoughts of private school eventually for them, soccer, hockey, ballet (for me), new kitchen, new bathroom...the list goes on and on.
Then the devil bastard starts talking:
"Under 70KM's on the car now. If you do K04's even in 2 years, the car will be under/close to 100kms. We have a 1994 S4 in the family that's still going strong, so why can't a K04'd S4 go for another 5-7 years until the mid-life 40 crisis happens.
"450 HP....450HP...450 HP....when will you ever be ONLY $10K way from 450HP.
I blame you all and Audiworld...ignorance is bliss ;-)
