Front plate in Ontario - if I have it in the car will I get off with a warning?

Yes and no. I drove a car for three years without a front plate, never got a ticket, then...
I had an integra, and got pulled over for not having a front plate. Three months later, YES, three months, the same officer pulled me over and basically just asked me for my license/ registration/ insurance, and proceeded to give me a ticket.
Before I could fight it in court, I found out that he had done something wrong in filling the ticket out, and thus, he had to throw the ticket out. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, but, I never had to pay it.
