Hey, I've had this beast for a few weeks and have noticed the "distance to empty" is out by about 15-18%.
When I fill up it tells me I have 560kms to empty. But I only got about 420kms.
I have monitored this for the last few fills and its pretty consistent. Being new I've not been pushing it too hard.
Anybody else getting wrong readings?

The initial reading does not take into consideration your driving habits since it was just filled. The kms to empty adjusts as your driving habit is logged. If you're doing mainly city driving it may not be too far off. But if you're only doing highway driving, perhaps you should be getting better fuel consumption readings. Either way, I believe it's just an estimate based on your driving habits. I tend to watch the trip odometer to see when I'm going to get stranded.
I could be wrong though, that's just my take. What do other 04.5 3L owners have to say?

up just after doing some highway? You probably could get 560km on the highway but less with city driving.

Most of the time I'm lucky to get 300kms out of a tank. I marvel in the splendor my trip computer has when it reports ~400km to E on the rare occasion.. Worthy of a mini-celebration as I leave the pump...

Looks like your car is brand new. If this is the case, I would be patient. Sometimes my readings are a bit loopy, and I have ~19,000 km on my '03 3.0.
I still notice that the 3.0 is a bit of a pig in the city, but really good on the highway.
