Funny story... Chip Story, were the buyer gets ripped off...
Anyone located in the Ottawa Area, who has heard of Speedstyle or Tapp Auto should read this.
When Speestyle was open two years ago, and the owner/employee John Armas currently at Tapp Auto in Ottawa was and probably still is a plane rip off artist. Just so we are clear, nothing to do with Tapp Auto, but with JA.
I bought a Neuspeed chip from him at Speedstyle, being assured that it is a 1.0 Bar chip. Being of trusting nature and not having a boost gauge at the time I figured that it is a 1.0 bar
chip. Well the jokes on me the pr1ck sold me a 0.8 bar chip as a 1.0 bar and charged me the price of a 1.0 bar chip. I did ask him several times if it really was a 1.0 bar chip prior to finalizing the transaction and install, as the price seemed a little high, he assured me that it was, he even pretend to call someone and verify that it in fact was a 1.0 bar chip. Well since the car was stock then, the 0.8 bar chip made a difference and I thought it really was 1.0 untill I got my boost gauge. Was I pissed when I found out... I always hoped that it was a 1.0 bar chip "Wishful thinking", but had serious doubts about its integrity. This is funny to me now...
If anyone is ever dealing with this guy, take extra caution as he is prone to rip you off. He is presently working as counter help at Tapp Auto... This just shows you what kind of thiefs are out there working at respectable companies.
In the end the jokes on me...LOL
