How far can your S4 go in mixed city and highway driving?
How car can you go before your low fuel warning comes on?

I think there's something wrong with my car and/or the way I drive. I drive very conservatively and try to get into 6th gear as quickly as possible no matter what the speed limit. I shift around 2000 to 2500 rpm a lot. I only get like 375 KILOMETRES before the warning comes on and then I get about 410 KILOMETRES on a full tank of gas when it says I can go about 20 kilometres still.

I spoke to my friend who says he's doing over 500 KILOMETRES and he drives much more aggresively than I do.

Any help here? What are potential reasons why the kilometreage is so low? Thanks.

I know there are a lot of Americans here, so you can just tell me in MILES and I'll figure it out.

it takes about 55 to 58 L to fill up the tank after driving that far. The tank's capacity is 62 L.

In pure highway driving I get 580 to over 600 km.

The low fuel light comes on at when the trip computer says I have 50 km left. The distances I've achieved above are when it says I have 0 km left, so I have a few litres left in reserve.

Maybe you should try shifting slightly higher, say 2500 to 3000 rpm for your next tank to see if it makes any difference.

I get 300 km on a tank! From full to when the warning light comes on!! This is 99% city though, and each fill up is around 48-50 litres. How do you guys get such good milage and fill up 58 litres? DO you wait until you have no gas left?
