I Broke My Car :(
So I went up to Barrie last night for an evening and planned on coming home for dinner tonight. Let's just say I never made it.
So, I'm leaving Barrie and I'm making a left turn onto the onramp to get on the 400S. The roads were pretty slick due to rain, and my *** end fishtailed to the right. So I try to correct it but end up hitting the curb on the right hand side. Bounce up and here a BANG! So I try to pull to the left to get off the island. I guess due to the damage myt car pulled hard to the left and I went flying over to the other curb (The other side full of cars exiting the highway and waiting at a red light). I hit the curb on the left but reacted quick enough to not go flying into another car, or possibly multiple.
So, in the end, I called for a tow truck and had it towed from Barrie down to my mechanic where it now sits nose slanted almost into the ground.
The damage I can see is apparent but hopefully not bad. Looking at the car, you can tell the wheel is pushed back and on a slight angle. After jacking it up and inspecting it closer, I find my shock is bent just above the fork. It also looked like my sway bar hit my lower control arm, but just scratched the metal. Nothing else looks out of place (except my 4 wheels that need to be refinished) and I hope there are no surprises when it goes up on the hoist tomorrow.

Hope I'm wrong, but
You're going to need suspension parts front and rear. If the wheels are damaged, and you slid sideways into the curb, parts will be bent and will need to be replaced. All will be revealed on the alignment rack.

That sucks man. I feel for you. (m)
When it happened do you sit in your car and yell
"F@ck, F@ck, F@ck, F@ck" while banging on the steering wheel?
Also i would suggest you get the subframe looked at. When I hit the curb, my wheel was bent way back in the wheel well. My frame was out of shape by about 1".
See how nice I am... no cheap shots!
Hope everything works out
