I know it has to be hacksawed a tiny bit shorter to work properly on the B5 chassis, bit I know of no alternatives.

One that Fits jack saddles with 5/8" or 1 1/8" holes??
If 'yes', make some and we'll buy em off you!! Otherwise, I have neither the tools nor time to worry about a $30 part, so I'm ordering one 8^)

Speaking of floorjacks, my $29.99 CrappyTire one is dying, it doesn't go as high as it used to be...
Can anyone recommend a good and relatively inexpensive jack? One concern I have is that it needs to clear the bottom of my car after I get coilovers in it, it won't be slammed, about 1" drop max.
And the jack block is a good idea too.
After reading many stock emergency jack failures, I'm definitely bring a proper floor jack with me on my road trip!
Thanks in advance!

3 ton floor jack from CanTire w/ 2 stands, $100 (on sale).
Michelin jack was on sale last week for $140. Just keep looking on their website, you'll find a deal pretty soon I'm sure.
