Got the call for my renewal.
I'm currently with Chubb, via HKMB International Insurance Brokers.
Last year, insurance on the S was $2019. This year, the broker says Chubb wants to increase to $2362. Apparently...and this is all new to me...every few years, the insurance companies rate cars for such things as theft "desirability", crash worthiness, etc, and then class the car and charge accordingly...the higher rate group, the worse. S, acc to Chubb, moved from 31 to 34.
Anyhow, I don't know if that's relatively large, i.e. is it 34 out of 300, or 34 out of 35, but nevertheless, that's the case.
BTW, good news is that Royal and Sunalliance has quoted $1934, so she's exploring that route.
