I guess the long waiting line up and the high pricing pissed her off. Apparently BMW is really getting agressive on their current 08's and as we all know they are discounting big time.

It's like those furniture stores "EVERYTHING MUST GO AT LOW LOW PRICES"

I have 6 months left on my lease and I think I might follow her.

Same here, their prices are super aggressive with finance rates and discount rebates. Pulled the trigger on an '08 M3. If you have the cash, now is a great time to be shopping for cars.

Default We recently shopped for a new car for my wife...

and checked out the three high end German dealers.

BMW were the most interested in our business and did follow up to see if they could get our business.

Audi could care less.

MB also were interested in dealing with us.

In the end we decided not to buy an Audi for her (she loves Audi) and went with a new $70,000+ MB. Another loss by Audi and a gain for MB. BMW's car just did not appeal to my wife or they would have had a deal.

Can you send me some info on your deal on the M3? I'm also looking into one as well. What did the M3 replace?

Default Are you saying that you "based" your purchase...

decision on weather you got a "follow-up" call or not?
BMW called you back!!! So what??? Do you honestly think that if I wanted to buy an Audi or BMW or whatever it is, Im' going to base my decision on some idiot doing his/her follow-up call? Come on!!!!
Stop finding excuses for not buying Audis. It is perfectly ok to like something else without having to blame "Audi" for your decision.

Default Come on Rex! Who really cares about residuals. If you can afford a $700 payment...

and you really want an Audi, you can also afford a $750 payment.
I do this for a leaving, so I am constantly exposed to people's opinions about; payments, residuals, rates, etc. Believe me, very few people make a big deal about this. Some one that is interested in an Audi will get an Audi not matter what.
The smart way of buying cars is done by checking every single car you like. Do the whole shopping "list" of cars. Decide which car is more suitable and then go about how you are going to pay for it; leasing, financing, balloon payment, whatever you like best. Put some cash down and get a comfortable payment. That is how you buy a car!
