Latest karting info
As mentioned in another thread and some formalities ...
1. Probably $80, will talk to them to see what the final price since we got a huge group.
2. About the group, it's going to be first come first serve now in case we do get 24 (which is the max). Those who are confirmed, great you're in.
3. <u><b>Please be there ON TIME. We're trying for a start at 2PM so if you can get there at 1:30pm even better.</b></u> It'll take a while to pay up and get ready and listen to all the safety talk. We need to start as close to 2PM to maximize our time in the kart, as each minute we get behind, we lose it in track time. We'll probably need to finish sometime between 4:30pm and 5:00pm since they have to get the karts ready for the evening race. There's a small building further up from the parking lot, meet there, we'll pay and get things going from there.
4. We MUST show up regardless if it rains or not. I don't want people getting the idea that "oh it's going to rain, so I'll bail, sure there will be others there to make up just in case". I'm not going to get stuck with any cost. We decide there if we want to race or not if the rain is bad. I doubt it's going to be as bad as last time but I'm praying for no rain.
5. Those who have not told me your weight, please do so, or you can email me if you don't want to make your weight public. I think I have a few responses that I haven't updated in the spreadsheet yet.
6. You MUST have all skin covered. Jeans. Old jacket. Coveralls. Whatever. Gloves too. Helmet if you got it, if not, you'll get one there. So make sure you wear clothes that you won't mind getting dirty and especially wet if it rains.
7. This is a FUN race, no bumping is allowed, clean passes, etc. These are open wheel karts. Any intentional bumping, you will get yourself pulled off the track.
8. Will be talking to them tomorrow, was going to talk to them today but they were closed. Will confirm on price (hoping for a bit of a deal since we got a huge group this time compared to last year) and the format of the sessions. Will post here on AW, AZ and on the Yahoo group of news.
9. Bring some water along, you'll probably get thirsty.
10. We will be doing dinner at Jack Astor's. We'll head out there after the karting, they don't do reservations since it's a Friday evening but we'll call ahead to make sure we do have room perhaps.
If things go well, I'll organize another one this summer for sure.
Ripple, post anything else I may have missed. Any questions, post here.

We should ballast the karts up to equal weights! I assume the A/B is run groups based on weight, I assume I'll be in the B group since I'm a fat **** like Torsten
