Bono and U2 do more for this planet and it's people than 99.9% of the population. Seriously.
He has never chastised the common folk... he goes after politicians and other richy riches. He asks for support of the people by rallying them together to vote and email their politicians but RARELY akss for their money.
He is constantly trying to help the poor and sick and bring awareness to injustice which is more than I can say for any other rapper/rocker/country/pop/actor/artist.
Ever heard of Amnesty International, Geenpeace, Jubilee 2000, Product Red, Music Rising (hurricane Katrina fund), The One Campange, Make Poverty History, Debt, AIDS, Trade in Africa (or DATA)?

Oh and 22 Grammy Awards (most of them after 2000) is nothing to sneeze at.
