Default No brakes when wet

Our '02 TTQC has no brakes when it's raining. Drive for a while in the wet and hit the brakes and initially there's nothing there! I suspect there's a buildup of water on the disks.

Anyone solve this problem?

Default TT not the only one

Had the same delay today driving through slush, etc. Or maybe it was ice on the rotors. They did introduce some shields on it and some have commented that it did improve quite a bit while others have said that it didn't make much of a distance.

What I do is if I do go through a large puddle I'll tap the brakes right after to get rid of the water.

I know the A4's have a kit the dealer can install. I had mine done & it helped a lot.

Yeah, and you know how far you travel in a second or two? Isn't 60 mph 88 feet a second?

If I was putting on the brakes just to see how they were, I wouldn't mind. However, I'd like to have brakes there when I need them! ;-)

I posted on the TT forum, and that's what TTshwing posted back. Thanks for your answer. I was hoping to get an answer from someone that had solved the problem with a local dealer...

I think it's criminal that brakes don't work instantly.

60mph isn't legal anywhare in Canada. I'd say your first objective is to slow down.
