Hmmm....
that's interesting news man, but I don't totally follow.
If I bought an avant in good shape, no way it can cross the border.
If I buy a salvage avant, it cannot cross as a 'rebuildable' car b/c they still adhere to the admissability criteria.
If I buy a salvage avant and declare it as 'parts only' I can get it here. Then I'd have to transplant everything from my sedan into it, and will end up with one vehicle with my original VIN. The VIN of the vehicle crossing can never be registered here since it was 'parts only'.
Am I way off? I'm reading the gov't guidelines and trying to interpret as best I can....
