a while ago I believe you mentioned that you had a friend that was importing Porsches from the US to save on the currency conversion.... I just heard from a friend in the industry that Pfaff and Downtown will not service OR honor the warranty.... is your friend still importing, and if so, does he know somewhere that will honor the warranty?

The US dealer won't sell more than two cars at a time so basically the group buy thing has died.
Porsche Canada was taken to court and MUST honour your warranty. However, they have stated that they will prioritize domestic customers so it may take you a while to get an appointment.

in a few months, and then call just before your appointment to cancel and re-book for a few more months down the road.... I guess they cant legally refuse you, but they can make it very difficult

I know Mercedes warranty states that all scheduled maintenance must be done at a Mercedes dealer or the warranty is void - not sure about Porsche.
But here's a better idea, get a 4 year old Porsche that is out of warranty - then you'll save a boatload and you can get it serviced wherever and whenever you want.
Option two would be to approach a Cdn dealer and get them to sell you an extended warranty on a US car. Maybe then they'll treat you as "their customer"
Put it this way, if cars didn't come with warranty at all, would you pay $40k for a 4 year warranty? I doubt it!!!
