Default It is item 12. If you remove, lubricate, and reinstall it, it will function like new, however...
In many cases, the RH hinge on the glovebox lid breaks before you have a chance to remove that part and lubricate it.

Same problem here, i just let it drop slowly when open, in fear it will break.

Mine was re-lubed twice... both times it didn't really work properly, only "differently".

the hinges seize. Mine was warrantied too.

So the piston quit working and then that right side glove box hinge broke. Anyone know a good source for the hinge or have a glovebox for cheap?
