Default Sigh, storm killed my day

Today I was at the Bridgestone Racing Academy at Mosport (DDT). My sister won the contest in the Star Wheels section to go to the academy, her and my mom. Unfortunately (for her) she couldn't get the day off of work, so I grudgingly took a vacation day and headed down with my ma

Looked like it would have been a fun session, however due to the lightning and then the storm, I wound up with a grand total of two parade laps around the track. Sigh. There's some possibility they might do an alternate day, but I count it unlikely. I might be in the paper this weekend though

Anyways, a cruel taste. I would have rather not gone at all than to have been given a chance to have some serious open-wheel fun (F2000 cars) and then have it taken away repeatedly. The AudiGT boys will be happy to hear I managed to keep all the wheels on the asphalt, shiny side up and pointy-end forward for the entirety of my two slow laps...

Default Sucks to hear

You basically got teased with those F2000 cars!

That storm was pretty nasty, sucks to hear. Lightning was fairly intense I heard out in Brampton with schools keeping the kids in until things calmed down.

If you need a fill in, let me know LOL

Default Storm flooded 5m radius around my car at T&T parking lot today. Took pics ;)

So today, my team at work decided to do store visits, one of them was for T&T at Warden and steeles.
We did our thing inside the store and when we came out, the storm had just passed and everything was soaked. I walked over to my car with my colleagues, and I didn't know whether to be frustrated or laugh. I thought stuff like this only happened in the movies, but my car happened to park right at the only low point in the parking lot where all the water decided to collect. Needless to say, I couldn't get to my car without ruining my new black Puma's. So I thought of a brilliant idea...

Default LOL! I think I saw your car there this afternoon when I went to Boston Pizza.

Nice move with the bags... it was your only option!

Default LOL. Your other option was to take off your shoes...it's only rain water, not sulphuric acid. Did

the Darintake suck up any water? ;-)

Default If I took off my shoes, I'd have to get into my car with wet feet and drive back to work...

with wet feet.
This way, I get to my car, take off the bags before I get in and drive away. No mess and no need to take off my shoes.

Like a multiple choice test, there's always one answer that's "more" correct =)

And no, the Darintake did not take on any water.
