Default Thinking about trading in the TT...

I currently drive a 2004 Audi TT Coupe. I love the car, its been almost perfect for the first two years. Thinking about trading her in on a new A3 2.0T. I was thinking 3.2l, but I don't want to drive DSG equipped car. I need my 6 speed transmission

One thing I'm definitely will miss with the TT is Quattro AWD. IMO, nothing compares. I'm at the two year point with the TT, after this the car will continue to depreciate at a higher level and return on the car will not be a great as it is today.

Should I go for it? Wait for the A3 2.0T AWD, or keep the TT?

TIA!

Default Do you need more room? Are you leasing now and then leasing your next one?

I would keep the TT. The other car isn't as iconic or pure as your car for a sporting purpose. The A3 has more doors, space and the hatch/roof line is more functional, but if that's not the real reason for switching (if it was you wouldn't even be asking, you'd be forced to get the A3) I would stay with the TT.

as much as I would like to sell you a new A3. I don't quite understand why you'd want to part with it. Who cares about the depreciation, the important thing is that you are having fun, I doubt that anyone ever thinks about resale value when they buy a car.
I would wait until about six months before the warranty expires, hopefully the A3 2.0 quattro will be available by then.

Definitely keep the TT Dave. You are just getting the itch aren't you? Alex is 100% correct.

Default I had the same thought but I decided to keep the TT. 4 years and I'm still having fun.
