Tips on prepping for a lease return inspection...

Had my car inspected by AutoVin last week. Went well with absolutely no charges.
- My tires were gone, so I bought used tires a couple months ago. Got 4 Continental's for $180. Kind of a shame actually, because they had about 80% tread left.
- Had a noticeable dent in the rear bumper cover and missing paint/scrapes in the area. Had a mobile scratch repair guy fix the dent and respray that bumper piece. All done my driveway for $120!
- Several scrapes/scratches throughout the car. I buffed them with a good wax/cleaner. I believe most of them would have passed the inspection, but I didn't want to take the risk. I asked the scratch guy to fix them, but he said that some oil will do the job. I looked at him like he was crazy, and then he showed me. Vegetable oil... canola oil... extra virgin olive oil... whatever you can get your hands on. Rub it lightly over minor scuffs/scrapes, and they magically disappear! I'm told this lasts for about a week.
Good luck to all going through this!
