Default tire warranty

I was taking the 17" summer tires off and putting the winter ones on when I realized that one of the summer tires has a nail puncture on it. My '03 A4 is only about 6 months old.

Does anyone know if Audi covers a puncture to a tire under their warranty? And if so, can I bring my tire in on its own to be fixed or do I need to bring it in on the car?

Thanks.

Default I doubt it ...

Even if they were. It would probably simpler (as faster) just to take your wheel to a local garage and they will plug it up for a few $.

My 0.02$

Default Road hazard warranty?

In all likelihood the tire comes with a road hazard warranty, check your maintenance, warranty, etc, package. I'm guessing they are the ZR rated sport tires that came with your car? It is never really recommended to plug ZR rated tires as they will not perform or not hold up as well in high stress, high speed driving conditions. With the road hazard warranty, they determine the percentage of tread left and calculate the difference for a new tire. So they might charge you for example $75 for a new $200 tire, $75 representing the portion that was used on your tire.

My .02 cents,
