Hello,
looking for a car insurance for a Q5. Haven't looked for one in a while and wonder if you guys have any recommendations for car insurance companies. Currently insured through Meloche Monnex.
Much appreciated.

My broker put me through Dominion of Canada. I have, nothing but praise for this company. They've also got that no fault clause thingy where your first accident doesn't count against your insurance.

I am with Cooperators. They are not bad. However I find them a bit more expensive compared with other insurers like CAA or Meloche Monnex. Actually I am also looking for car insurance for my new A3 and considering Meloche Monnex.
What do you think of Monnex? Something cause you to want to switch?
Thanks.

Not really. Insured with them for years but I think it is time to look around. Sometimes you are too comfortable with the existing insurance but you might spend too much.
Thanks for the input so far. Keep it coming - I appreciate it very much.

Hey Flogsta,
I had the same thought. Why not check out the competition and shop around just to see. Well that thought ended up saving me $452 a year.
My original choice was PC Financial Insurance, but they discontinued their service starting this year![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I was with The Personal, but ended up with Primmum Insurance. Mind you, with both companies, I'm using the group rate insurance, so prices are slightly cheaper for me.
Not only did I save on money, but I also got the the 5 year price protection with Primmum, where I would get the full value of the car "IF" (knock on wood) anything where to happen to the car. That on top of the money I saved.
Funny thing is that the Q5 premium is cheaper than the 2009 RAV4 by $216 for the year.
Personally, I would have stayed with the old company if the price difference was less than $200. You have a history with the company and hopefully that would work in your favor later.
If it wasn't for the ridiculous prices at State Farm, I would have stayed with them. I like my agent.
Hope this helps!
