it washes a bit underneath the car and it's a bit tricky during winter to wash under the car when it's -15c outside :|

Default Or, try to find a wash that does not have rails...

..here in Toronto, many Esso stations have car washes without rails, you just drive in and they are touchless washes.

I know of a couple of sunoco stations that are similar...

Agreed. Just find one you can 'self' drive through (no rails)

Why not get it hand wash? It cost about $10 with tip included. (Exterior only)

I do it once in a while for that reason, to get the excess salt from underneath.

Default What are you smoking?

Who is going to supply an indoor heated environment and hand wash a car with proper equipment when it is -15C out for $10?

Default I think you misunderstood my reply. I'm saying why not go to a "hand wash" place

There's plenty out there. I'm not talking about the ones where you wash it yourself.

While they're cleaning the car, just ask them to spray under as well. This is what I alway do...$10 tip included.

Oh, I always smoke the good stuff

Default how strong is the soap at a touchless car wash?

I mean, no rubbing, its gotta be strong enough to grab onto the dirt and wash away right? Just wondering if the soap will strip wax.

A few days ago, went to a self wash bay and only sprayed the soap on, and rinsed off (never use the foaming brush). Once the water dried, the car still had all the road grime on it. Went home and handwashed the bugger (brrr!).
