Default What's up with Esso Canada droping their Supreme 92 octane fuel?

Their Q&As say they're, "making important and necessary changes in our supply network. These changes require us to adjust our Supreme gasoline from 92 octane level to a 91."

All this while the price of gas is rising... hence literally, less bang for your buck!

Default First noticed it in Invermere back in Jan but it still was 92 in..

Canmore on Sunday...hmm my Avant says 91 but the S4 is 92. I hope Mohawk/Husky doesn't drop to 91 as they wiil be the only players in AB at 92.Of course they were 94 until a couple of years ago.

Sunoco 94 is a great alternative. In Toronto, its a penny or 2 more than premium per litre

Default I don't care much for Esso anyways, the car as been fed PETRO CAN 94 octane since its birth.....

By the way, 94 octane is at 97.5/litre today in Montreal.

Default No, I noticed the change while at the pump.

The cashier gave me a sheet of company Q&As after I asked about the change over.

91 stinks... I'm afraid they've lost my business.

Default How much octane is Premium gas at Ultramar?

I always try do fill up thrustday at Ultramar, they give a 0.05$ on each litre so it is the same price as mid grade gas.

Default No, and don't use those Bosh Platnum 4 on your car.......

That is if your talking about those regular Platnum 4 spark plugs. They are bad plugs, they have been known to break and parts fall in the cylinder damaging pistons and valves. Mercedes refuses to install them on their cars. In Europe or at least in Germany they are not even sold!

The spark plugs I use are Bosh PLATIN F5DPOR which run COOLER, they are expensive and maybe RMR or Track Racing have them. If you are interested in them and those guys don't carry it call me back and I will find some for you. I believe they are around $20.00/plug.
