Default Where to get timing belt kit in Toronto?

Hello, I'm in need of a timing belt "kit", similar to the one ECS sells.

I called Frisco, and they said they can get me the parts if I know all the part numbers (but made it sound like they're doing me a favor).

Is there a place in Toronto (or close to) where I can walk in and just buy a kit? I need to get it done asap, as I'm scared of driving my A4 (which I just picked up used).

Please let me know, thanks

Default Its worth it to get the kit from ECS...

... it worked out to half price from dealer parts for me.

how much duty/tax did you get slapped with when the kit arrived on your doorstep?

I don't mind buying online, but if I have to pay another $100 ontop of the kit for duty/brokers fee, i might as well get a shop to change the belt for me...

Default I had it shipped to Buffalo and picked it up there...

... declared it and paid 60 bux in taxes.

Dealer parts came to just over $800 after taxes.
ECS parts come to $350CDN plus taxes, and duties and brokerage fees.

Even if you pay brokerage fees it will still be a good price.

If you want a parts listing, drop me an email and I'll send you my list.

The ECS UTBK is a good package and they sell a lot of them.

Default Call Nardi Motors in Scarborough...

They just did all my belts for dirt cheap.
They ordered a the kit (OEM) for much less than the dealer and installed it all.
They are a father and son team that both used to work for Greenbelt VW and know VW/Audi's very well. It was a huge job and they saved me over $500 vs the dealer.
They even changed my oil (Amsoil 0W40), rotated my tires and cleaned my disgusting dirty air filter.
The telephone number is 416-701-0999.
Ask for Louie and tell him Bruno sent you.
