Default Wife got stopped for speeding tonight.

Time - 8pm.
Conditions; minus 15C and snow flurried but road dry.

Driving home from work and she sees this slow moving car in front of her. They are approaching a railway bridge crossing which makes a nice S curve over the tracks. The car in from is now annoying her and when she comes to the straight part of the road drops the pedal and passes the car. Ever being mindful of her road manner she indicates both before passing and when pulling back into her lane. At this point she is doing about 150 Kph and just settling down to a comfortable drive home with an empty road in front of her.

She is about a kilometer in front of the car she just passed and notices that there are a set of flashing red and blue light trying to follow her. She slows down to discover the car she just passed was a police car. She stops and waits for the officer but as he does not come out of his car she goes to see him. The officer says "what do you have in your car?" My wife said nothing. The officer takes a good look inside the car and sees nothing unusual. He then turns to her and asks where she is going in such a hurry. My wife says home and also apologizes for going so fast. The officer then says 'go home and don't apologize".
No ticket! Now if that had been me I would have had a ticket for sure.

Yes a tear in the corner of the eye does wonders.

Default Maybe I'll try that next time.

Last time I got stopped, the officer was not interested in anything I had to say.

Default Why did she get out? If I did that the cop would have drawn his gun and told me to

get back in my car.

I would never get out of my car when pulled over, it makes cops nervous and nervous cops are not something you want to have.
