We're up in Whitehorse for the winter and Fall is done leaves are brown and down on the ground.
Two serious snowfalls and it was time to put em on.

In an emergency I can use the SUV which has 4 Seasons for three months and winter tires in the winter. Better than summer tires ;-)

coming into production. Gold of course historically was the driving force for white folk to come this way in the late 1800's. Placer mining still is strong.
Yukon's pop is 33,000 with Whitehorse being 22,000. The Yukon Territory Gov't is the largest employer up here.Lots of wide open space up here with decent connections to the South via plane 2h to Vcr 3x/day and 2.25h to Calgary 3-4x/week. The Alaska Hwy is a great road connection.
We may be unusal in that we went 'North' for the winter but we've been up this way since May.
The only downside is the S4 is back in Canmore and that we are losing 5.5 minutes of sunlight/ day right now.
Everyone seems to have those Lightforce aux lights on the front of their cars and trucks.
I put Piaas on the bull bar to light the night.
