Default Here's better idea.....try it and then get back to us..

The point isn't that you don't have to turn around any more. I'd still do it, but all spots around your car essentially become your 'peripheral vision'.

Side mirrors are there for a reason, otherwise we'd only have rear view mirror.

Default seriously if anyone does not fully understand take a look at this page

this is a very basic skill everyone should know and try to teach everyone in their family.

most people have no idea how to adjust their mirrors properly and it is scary to think how many horrible accidents could be avoided with this basic skill

look at this page. it looks like it does a good job explaining mirror adjustment

http://www.linquist.net/motorsports/tech/mirrors/</a

Default Go back to our classroom sessions. Remember...

the hands have a way of guiding the car in the direction that your eyes are looking. Just for that moment when you turn your head, you're feeding your body conflicting information and you aren't looking where your vehicle will be by the time you look forward again. Heck - you've already run over that point.

Not busting your chops at all - most of us were taught incorrect mirror adjustment in High School Driver's ed or by our parents.
