Default wow, lots of recommendations already, but here are my favorites:

$$$) Murai Sushi on Division/Damen, the best in town
$$) Bob San Division/Wood?
$) Shiroi Hana on Clark/Belmont

Default there are two on Division between ashland and western. if you want really good sushi, then BOB

is your choice. if you're looking for more of a hangout place, Mirage, i think it's called that, is great. it's kinda of like a bar that serves sushi.

Default No they prepare one side by shredding it into little curlies,

looks like translucent fren fries kinda. But it tastes awesome, like bbq fish without cooking it. The other half they cook in the kitchen while you eat the first side. But the Fishes actual boy and organs are hidden beneath some ice. So only the head and tail are showing (kind of like a U with the head out one end and the tail out the other and the middle covered by crushed ice). So you don't actually cut into it at all. You just happen to be eating it while it is still living. Doesn't get any fresher than that!

You really have to see it to believe it, But make sure you go with a couple people. It's too expensive to eat alone, and if you go with too many folks b/c the bigger the fish usually the tougher/or mushier it is (with the type of fish they use).
