The way the mortgage market is right now you can't really get yourself in much trouble. Good luck!

A home or condo? There is a fairly long list, but do NOT close on a Friday.

Default Because if the **** hits the fan and there is a delay that pushs it back a day......

.... you won't be getting the keys in hand walking out the door. Basically you're not moving in that weekend and if you have several big hairy men and a moving truck scheduled (or worse yet loaded) it can be an expensive PITA to get stuff taken care of.

Better to schedule it early in the week so if things go wrong you can address them quickly and on business hours (banking, mortgage companies, etc,) same day or the next. Also, nobody is in ball-busting mode to make your **** happen in a Friday afternoon, they'd just as soon push you off and deal with you on Monday.

That's my guess anyway.
