Anyone else see the big Audi advertising section in the Trib today? What'chall think?

From the first page:
"Progress.
It shapes. It changes. It leaves old ways behind.
And brings new ways forward. It comes in many
forms. The big and the small. The historical
and the personal. The social and the scientific.
And while we may never see it coming, we most
certainly know when it has arrived.

And even if you are not a supporter of the new president, I believe that it is great progress in what this country did now when compared to only 60 years ago. For one generation to see such change is astonishing, IMO.
Audi's progress has absolutely nothing to do with Progressivism, in any way, shape or form, and however you chose to define Progressivism(multiple meanings in different cultures/countries).

Before Christmas, I personally congratulated David Axelrod on an extremely well run campaign. I also asked him to convey my best wishes and congratulations to BHO.
However, it is inappropriate for a the subsidiary of a foreign company to use U.S. politics for advertising purposes. Imagine the media uproar, if the exclusive sponsor of the Inauguration, for example, was Toyota and not Audi. Also consider the nation's response to Northrop Grumman, with airframe supplier Airbus, winning the air tanker contract.

FYI, Audi used that in their ads long before Obama's campaign. I think the progress we saw is far more reaching than politics. It's just that all YOU see is politics. I think it's a progress for this nation, for this world. What is wrong with that?
And what is wrong with Toyota? If they have the $$$ and media accepts it, of course they would, nothing wrong with them advertising. After all, they too employ American workers and feed American kids. Are you suggesting that due to GM or Ford shortfalls there should be no advertising of foreign car makers? I'm not following.
Your last example is totally out of context. Comparing foreign manufacturer and defense products is well.....besides, this nation couldn't care less. I guarantee you that Britney Spears flashing the paparazzi would make A LOT bigger headlines.
