But coming from ze Germans, who pride themselves on being more progressive than us, who knows.

the potential audience, to get people into the door...Do I think some hard core republican will stop from buying a car because that company advertised today the way they did? I don't think so.

Other companies ran advertisements today, online, in print, and on television; however Audi is the only company to have a formal press release announcing its exclusive sponsorship to the Inauguration.
No other company decided to co-brand itself with the new President. Last year Shepard Fairey, as part of the Obama campaign fund raising activities, produced the "Progress" poster. This is the not-too-subtle tie-in between Audi and Obama.
Iterating again, why would a company, during times of economic instability, purposely launch an advertising campaign that could potential alienate parts of its customer base?<ul><li><a href="http://obeygiant.com/headlines/obama">Obey Giant and Progress</a></li></ul>
