KC and I are trying to take the crank pully off and we can't seem to get the main bolt off. We are using the 4 allen socket bolts as leverage but we're just overtightening the bolts. Anyone have any suggestions on getting this off or have an impact wrench that we could borrow to force the puppy off? It kinda sucks, after this bolt we're in the home stretch and the rest is easy.

When I do the timing belt....I use two special tools, one to hold the crank shaft in place and the other to go on the crank bolt:

That holds the crank in place, then I use a huge cheater bar to break it loose, it's something like 300+ lb-ft of torque:

And I can't get leverage to get it off. Someone in the B6 forum said that that center bolt stays on but that means I'd need to pull on the pully HARD after the 4 hex socketed bolts are out. Do I ever mean HARD.

I'm sure there is a tool designed for that purpose as Audi wouldn't have you using other fasteners to do it properly.
Put the car in gear and stomp on the brakes and have someone try and get it off.
