A celebrity sighting at Gibson's draws more and more tourists into the restaurant. His visit last evening is probably worth a couple of thousand of dollars in additional revenue in the next few weeks. A number of individuals were making telephone calls to friends saying they spotted MJ in Gibson. Even I, in the subject line of this thread, mention him and the Yankees. You can count on Yankee fans visiting Gibsons during the series since Jeter and company had dinner there last evening.

Sunday afternoon I was at the Four Seasons lounge for lunch. The brunch featured a Turkish theme and a Turkish bazaar was held in the lobby. One of the female anchors from WGN was there and she "happened" to purchase an item, as a gift, for an elderly woman visiting the hotel. The elderly woman's daughter became emotional and starting cying about the touching gesture. One can guarantee that these two women will return back to the 'burbs and tell all there friends about the it, thus increasing the potential viewers' base for WGN's news. More viewers = more advertising revenue = higher salary for this particular anchor. Brillant! And this no different than Oprah's give away program.

Personally, I expect nothing out of doing something for someone other than the personal pleasure it brings me. Well, that and whatever pleasure or joy it brings the recipient.
