Correct. "Discussion" does infer a verbal exchange. I'm glad I have an idiot for an agent then.

Default I think customer will need to sign a letter saying that he understand

That whatever agent says can be wrong and doesn't bound State Farm in a contract.

Otherwise - actions of agent=actions of principal.

Default Re: Agree with Mark for sure. Most State Farm agents are actually independents.

They are ALL independent Agents and NO track events are covered. And the policies cannot be modified by the Agent.

Default Didn't know all of the are, but everyone I've ever dealt with was. Thanks for the info

As you said, it is certainly my feeling that an independent agent cannot modify a polict. And as you said, I am of the opinion that SF has outlawed all DE's or track events.

Cheers.

Default Unless State-Farm can prove that you know that agent's word worth nothing.

Unless State-Farm going to start new advertising campaign - "Our agents are retarded monkey and we are not associated with them" State Farm responsible for actions of their agents.

If you got anything in writing from your agent - it's part of the policy.

Default In IL, OR and NM (places I know it happened), SF sent out ammendments to their polices that

specifically stated that track events and DE's were out.

I received one.

If others choose to hope their letter or words of their agent cover them, that is their choice.

I'll go with the official policy ammendment.
