Default Audi noob here looking to do track events - need help:

I have never driven a track event and have no idea what the limits of this car are (decided not to mod for this and other reasons). I have not signed up yet for the the Grattan driving school event and don't know if there is room. Will I have a problem since I don't know what I am doing on the track? Should I let somebody know at sign up that I have never done this before?

thanks for any help - I feel pretty clueless

Default Absolutely, join us

There is also an autocross this Saturday at Tirerack in South Bend, IN if you want to get aquatinted with some of the instructors as well as go on a few runs.

Download the PDF for Grattan and send it in.!<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiclubna.org/calendar/files/2005_ACNA_registration.pdf">Grattan PDF</a></li></ul>

Default I don't know about "forced to go beyond your comfort level", but.....

I did hear this a lot (from my instructor)....

"wait, wait, wait...TURN IN!!!APEX!!!!APEX!!!APEX!!!...TRACK OUT!!!!...accelerate!!!!accelerate!!!!accelerate!! !!accelerate!!!"

I also just did my 1st driver's event this last weekend and I loved it.

Default Your car is VERY capable in it's stock form - no mods needed.

You will be paired with an instructor who will work with you at your own pace and you will be grouped with others with similar experience. Not only will you be fine, but you'll have a blast. Everyone has to be a beginner at some point - all you need to bring to the table is a car in solid mechanical condition and the willingness and ability to listen and learn.
