Default AutoX / Indiana Toll Road Word of Caution

I know that many AW Chicago Discussion Forum participants will be attending the final AutoX of the season at the Tire Rack this Saturday. Everyone needs to be aware that Notre Dame will be playing Purdue this Saturday afternoon. Most should be able to leave before the end of the game; however, the Indiana State Police will probably have a presence on the Toll Road even before the end of the game.

I travel this section of the Toll Road often and have noted the increased trooper presence before, during and after the game. The ISP prefer to set up radar traps on cross overs near hills and curves, the usual police M.O. Indiana State Police will often travel in dark and unmarked police cars. They also, weather permitting, use aircraft.

So pay close attention to the V1 and the ISP do use instant on.

Default yeah, THATS never happened.

I recall driving past a certain gas station once with a few audis parked in a rather compromising position.

Default Yeah..... I ended up with a triple digit ticket on that one......

"Do you know how fast you were going?"
"No clue"
"Over 100mph. Do you know the drivers of those two other cars?"
<stoopid confused look> "Two other cars?"
<stoopid pissed off look> "Yeah, there were three of you"
<stoopid confused look> "I wasn't really paying attention"
<really pissed off look> "Sit in your car sir"

After a 15 minute wait for my ticket and a little lecture on speeding I was on my way. Three or four miles up the road I saw Chris and Tony having a chat with Officer Friendly at the rest stop.... oops.

Default Yea, that stretch has a white Tahoe, a black Mustang and a white Explorer...

how do I know? I "found" the Tahoe about 6 months ago, and my wife recently "encountered" the Mustang. Both between the toll plaza and exit 49.
