Wanted to let the folks out of town (especially the Chicagoland group) that the 1 day DE at Gateway International Raceway on August 26, 2006 is evolving into a weekend event that is really going to be unique and fun. We have managed to get a block of rooms at a high end hotel in downtown STL 10 minutes from the track at a VERY good rate. The DE will be a one day event on Saturday only. Sunday morning, for those that will or can stay overnight Saturday, we plan to indulge in one of the best Sunday brunches in town. After that we plan on going (within walking distance from the hotel) to the new Busch Stadium (1:15pm game) to enjoy a classic contest between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. We will be offering a limited number of tickets (at face value) to any DE participant on a first come first served basis. This could make for a very unique, fantastic weekend relatively close to home for a very reasonable price whether you take advantage of the ball game tickets or not.
