do IPASS' expire?

Yea, I've got 2 of those. Used to have 3, but IPass took one from me...
when I went in for a new battery. Said it's their policy to take the old ones and replace with the newer style supposedly because the old ones don't work in the high speed lanes. But the other two work fine, and heaven knows, my wife's idea of high speed in her Explorer is the ultimate test. So 2 old and 1 new style. One of the old ones is my original from 7 or 8 yrs ago.

Older school was the dash mounted black one with the LCD display.
No credit card billing and you had to feed it with $20's at the manual pay lanes. It looked like a radar detector and you could easily scroll through the LCD display and see where you'd been.
