Default does anyone use Delta Sonic regularly?

i visited the palatine delta sonic the first time last week. their price seems reasonable. they claim to be touchless but they actually use softcloth during the wash and hand dry in the end. i wonder if repeating this weekly would harm the paint in the long term?

my other alternative would be the true touchless at Mobil station.

I've used them, not in Palatine but there is one by work. They do an ok job. Definatly better than the touchless at any gas station. Everyonce in a while I'll use a touchless at a gas station if the road salt buildup on the car is so thick I can't tell what color it is anymore.

Default I used to use that one regularly on my SUV

and never had a problem. They do a darn good job for the type of operation that they are. Still not close to as good as doing it yourself, but in a pinch, I wouldn't worry.

Default I do that maybe once a month.....not bad for what they do.

And have been doing that like 2 yrs now.....no problem to the paint. Just watch out if you have 17" rims....watch out when you drive onto the track.

i wash the car there again today. they left some fine lines on the paint... i guess that's expected from any non touchless wash?

Default My wheels got f'ed up in one of my old cars (I think from Delta Sonic).

I think they are a really nice car wash, but I try to avoid auto washes in general. I could see how the rails your car rides in giving you rim rash.

I do think Delta Sonic is one of the better ones around. I think the gas station ones are pretty much worthless. Your car doesn't really get clean.
