... I'd like to see 3-4 people all go in on an enduro car. Driving and financial responsibilities would be split equally. Buy a car that is cheap enough to laugh at should something really bad happen and class the car in one of the stock-ish classes that limits the mods (keeps costs down and minimize **** blowing up). It wouldn't be free but it could be reasonable.
The first season wouldn't be about winning (too much). It would just be just see if we can do it, if we like it, and to learn the ropes. We probably wouldn't be super competitive in the first season but after we figure out what works for us who knows....
I think Larry B still runs a 4000 in the local enduro events. Last I heard it was him and two other drivers.
Totally possible. Should I start gutting the coupe tonight?

You are right, Larry is running the 4K in enduro.
And its a good idea to keep the car simple and cost low, at least for the first season. Seems like you have a good plan.
I would totally be up for something like that, but it would take a lot of our time, I'm sure.

... cause I'll do it.
While the coupe could be fun I have no idea if it could be competitive or how muhc cash it would take to get it ready. It may make more sense to start with a different platform.
I sent Larry a note asking him when he's running next so maybe some of us could cruise out and see what there is to see.

Our PCA friend Oscar (black 964, he was at the Autobahn ADD) did his first club race at Putnam this weekend. Eric said he was all grins, all weekend long. Now Eric talking about setting up a 964 to club race...

Stock coupe is a dog, but good thing about it is with an oil cooler it could run forever. I already have spare motor/trans/diff/axles/doors/all glass/euro bumpers/etc, etc. ;-)
Or...e30 325 would be cheap and fun too.

I've run nearly an hour straight with the e30. (100% stock brakes) With brake ducts, the pedal never fades. And it being a NA, overheating isn't an issue.
Maybe time for a cage.
DOH!
