Funny how the whole discussion was centered around this character and it turns out he's a fraud...
Really not good news, eh? Apparently McCain invoked "Joe the Plumber" twenty-four times during the debate... Wow! That's a bunch - to say the least.
I heard about Joe the Plumber's ties to Charles Keating (of McCain's Keating Five scandal) this morning on WCPT, so I Googled it. Check this out:

http://www.eisenstadtgroup.com/2008/10/15/joe-the-plumber-wurzelbacher-related-to-charles-keating-oops/</a

Joe the Plumber gets it...
If someone is rich with earnings of $250k, what will stop increasing taxes on individuals making less than $250k?
The lower 50% of income earners pay only 3% of the tax receipts. The bulk of the government's tax receipts are from the top 20% of income earners. It's really difficult to cut one's tax bill if you don't pay any federal income tax.
Right of anarchy and left of communism-the dream of the Daily Kos!

ABC interview with Joe the Plumber

Yup, it's the story that everyone should pay attention to...
Whether Joe is real or not, he brought out the true intent of the Obama plan- redistribution of wealth. He even blatantly said it in his live reply to Joe. So everybody- watch your wallets.

The younger members of this forum probably do not remember...
when the top tax rate was 70% under Jimmy Carter. Or the state of the economy under his administration.
Economically speaking, this was a very difficult time for most families. Ronald Reagan helped to lower inflation and restart the economic engine by lowering the tax rate to stimulate investment by the private sector.
JFK also knew the benefits of lower taxes, unfortunately, he was assassinated before his tax cuts went into effect. Pre-JFK's tax cut, the top marginal tax rate was 95%!
