Hey ChicagoTT2 - what makes you think we couldn't lap you on a real track...

Anytime - I suggest that we take a scientific approach here.
We both get into the same car on the same day on the same track. No room for excuses.
Then we can REALLY see who is the fastest.
OK?

I am not trying to make excuses, but here is my attempt at one.
Treffen auto-x was on a Saturday and the show was on Sunday. Well, I happen to have a life and was out every night that weekend until at the earliest 4, and then got up the next morning to get out to OCC for Treffen.
On Saturday, I got there late and did not have even ONE chance to walk the course. I had no idea where I was going and really had just got the car and was just having fun.
So now that I know the car much better (Took a trip from Chicago to L.A. and back - the mountains were unreal dude!) and I am hopeful to get to the next event early enough to get to know what the heck I am doing, I am sure I will have a better chance at a good time.
I know my capabilities and I am totally confident in my driving ability.
We will soon see I guess.

I came in second in C class to Pete Berta by twenty two tenths of a second. If I remember correctly, he went to SCCA regionals, if not nationals, that year.

http://www.chicagovw.org/Old%20Events/CVOCup%2001/2001%20auto-x.html</a

The first few laps with my instructor (in his car) scared the crap out of me.
Up hill blind off camber apex's are awful fun.
